| Did your beautiful catsuit
tear last time you wore it? Pick up a lovely latex dress for a
bargain--only to find it doesn't quite fit right? Let me help!
Send your item to me for repairs & alterations!
How it works:
- Contact us for
an cost/feasibility estimate.
Give me a brief description of the
problem/changes that you are looking for. I'll give you some
idea of what I can do for you, along with a preliminary cost
estimate and time frame.
- Mail the item to me.
You'll need to ship the item to me at:
Hawkes Design
8525 Deodar Crest Ct.
Elk Grove, CA 95624*
*This is a shipping
address ONLY--I don't have a store front (yet!)*
Please make sure
your clothes are washed and clean. Don't shine them up for
me--I'll just have to wash the shine agent off (glue doesn't stick
otherwise), and more time for me = more cost for you. A clean,
powdered item is easiest to work with.
Once I receive the
item and have a chance to look it over, I'll contact you and let you
know what I can do for you, along with giving a firm price and time
frame. I'll set up a payment page on my website where you can
pay for the repairs with your Visa or MasterCard.
-
Approve my estimate.
If you like the
repairs/alterations that I've described, give me to go-ahead to
proceed and fill out the information on the payment page. I'll
get to work on the changes and email you with a tracking number as
soon as your item is back on its way to you.
If I can't help you or
if you decide that you don't want me to go ahead with the repairs
there's no problem--and no cost. Just let me know and I'll
ship the items back to you in the same condition that I received
them.
Frequently Asked Questions:
-
Do you repair/alter other
manufacturer's clothes?
Yes. If you
ordered the item from me and it needs repairing/altering, I will
usually do it for free or at a large discount (I want you to be
happy with your clothes!), but I can also repair/alter items made by
others.
-
How long before I get my
item back?
It usually takes me
2-3 weeks to look your item over, make the repairs/alterations, and
get the item back in the mail to you. If you're in a hurry let
me know--depending on how busy I am with other orders, I may be able
to speed that up.
Nope, only latex and
rubber. Also: I don't sew my seams, I glue them. I
won't be able to alter your sewn latex seams (but I can patch your
latex garment with sewn seams, or replace the sewn seams with glued
seams).
Here's a general price
guide for repairs. Remember, each repair and alteration is
different, so these prices are only guides. I'll need to look
over your specific item before I can give you a firm price.
